The bigger the company, the more likely it has a hybrid data organisation
In the graph below, we see that:
the largest proportion of a mostly centralised data function we see in the second to largest revenue bracket and this is where the most efforts are put to support growth at scale (it's also where we see the lowest proportion of decentralization)
the largest proportion of a mostly decentralised data function we see in the smallest revenue bracket
